On 4-6 July 2024, representatives of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme participated in the Moldova 2024 Regional Economic Forum, which took place in Vatra Dornei (Romania).
Topics covered included regional trade and investment, innovation and technology, sustainable development, infrastructure, tourism, health and transport. The main objective of the Forum was "Planning and Cooperation on the Strategic Objective: Moldova 2030", with a focus on regional cooperation for sustainable development.
Present at the event, the experts of the Joint Secretariat of Suceava shared with the audience information about the funds available through the Interreg NEXT programme and about the development prospects of the border regions, as well as good practices and results of cross-border projects carried out in the period 2014-2020.
The event brought together over 300 representatives of the business environment, local and regional decision-makers from Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions.
The organizers of this international event dedicated to regional development were the Center for Analysis and Planning of Regional Development (C.A.P.D.R.) and the Suceava County Council, having as partners the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade, the North East Regional Development Agency, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Suceava County, the Regional Office for Cross-Border Cooperation Suceava, The Municipality of Vatra Dornei, the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuți, the Patronage of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Suceava County, the City of Siret, the City of Gura Humorului and the Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava.
