The Monitoring Committee approved the first projects to be financed by the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme

On Friday, December 13, 2024, the third meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme 2021-2027 was held online.

The meeting aimed to present, by the Managing Authority, the evaluation status of the three calls for projects launched, respectively the approval by the Monitoring Committee of small projects for which the evaluation process was completed.

The call for small projects targets all 3 priorities of the cooperation programme and addresses the following areas: prevention of risks caused by climate change, biodiversity, education, health and border management.

The grant amount awarded for the selected projects totals 7.74 million EURO.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Managing Authority, the Joint Secretariat, local and regional authorities from the counties that are part of the program area, as well as representatives of the National

Authorities from the two states and the European Commission.

A new call for small value projects is under preparation and will soon be launched for public consultation on the program website www.ro-ua.net.
