Approval of the first grant contract for small-scale projects under the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 Programme

The Managing Authority for the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania - Ukraine Programme 2021-2027, announces the signing of the first grant contract for projects selected following the call for small-scale projects. This first call covers all three key priorities of the Programme: cross-border environmental focus, social development, and cooperation along the border.

The BAT2LIFE project with a total budget of EUR 391,555.80, of which EUR 352,400.22 is the requested grant amount, is being implemented by the E-CONSULT Satu Mare Association, as lead partner, alongside the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies in Uzhorod, Ukraine and aims to ensure the sustainability of key aspects in protecting bats and raising awareness of the local community towards environmental issues.

Over a period of 18 months, the project aims to establish a collaboration strategy with a focus on community involvement, sustainable protection plans and awareness campaigns to ensure the long-term protection of these creatures, but also the preservation of ecological balance.
