This autumn, Tulcea will host a cultural initiative that highlights the value of cross-border cooperation. As part of the celebrations for Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 and the 35th anniversary of European cooperation, the Interreg NEXT Romania–Ukraine Programme will unveil a large-scale mural on the wall of Gymnasium “Alexandru Ciucurencu”, Tulcea.
The inauguration will take place on 8 October 2025, at 11:00 AM, bringing together beneficiaries, community members, artists, media representatives, and programme structures. The festive moment will also be complemented by a photo exhibition, highlighting inspiring stories from projects funded under Romania–Ukraine cooperation programmes. These stories will reflect not only achievements in education, environment, and cultural exchange, but also the human bonds created through years of working side by side across borders.
And the experience will not stop there: through timelapse clips, online galleries, and behind-the-scenes glimpses, everyone will be able to witness how a blank wall transforms into a colourful emblem of hope and cooperation.
