Romania-Ukraine Programme 2022 initiative to celebrate European Cooperation Day - "Message for Ukraine" is a manifesto dedicated to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, with the aim of conveying a message of solidarity in a unique format, through contemporary mural art.
The Programme created a large-scale mural painting on the front of the library building of "Mihai Eminescu" National College in Suceava, owned by the Suceava City Hall, in order to offer the community a symbolic message for Ukraine.
To honor the extraordinary efforts made in support of the Ukrainian people, Romania-Ukraine programme looks forward to welcoming you to the event to be held in Suceava on October 5, 2022, at 13.00 p.m at "Mihai Eminescu" National College - library building.
With the unveiling of the large-scale painting, the community's extraordinary efforts in support of the struggling Ukrainian people will be honored and a message of encouragement will be sent to the youth of Ukraine who must continue their studies even in these tough times. The "Message for Ukraine" campaign includes sending more than 500 supplies packages to 5 schools in Ukraine, in the programme area regions: Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia and Odesa.
The programme aims at creating a meeting context to mark the completion of the mural painting with a public action by involving young people and local authorities from Romania and Ukraine, journalists and representatives of the programme.
Under the call of #standwithukraine and with the involvement of youth from Romania and Ukraine #youth4coop, the manifesto event "Message for Ukraine" aims at highlighting the support for Ukraine shown by cross-border cooperation community and the importance of young people in the context of the European Year of Youth 2022.
