During the period of July 18 – August 21, 2022, the first stage of the mural art competition “Message for Ukraine” was held, organised by Romania-Ukraine Programme management structures to mark the European Cooperation Day 2022.
The competition was dedicated to youth between 14 and 30 years old, from Romania and Ukraine. It consisted of submitting a painting or a digital artwork to deliver a message of support and solidarity to the people of Ukraine. The winning artwork will be turned into street art, in a public space, on a building from the programme area in Romania.
The jury, consisting of programme management structures representatives, analysed more than 60 artworks submitted by young people in both countries and established the finalist works which will be published for voting on the programme Facebook page, ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020.
The six finalists of “Message for Ukraine” competition are:
• Hrishanin Valerii, 30 y.o, Ukraine – “Ukraine girl”
• Petliovana Valeria,14 y.o, Ukraine – “With hope and faith, that everything will be Ukraine!”
• Myslyvchuk Anna-Maria, 15 y.o, Ukraine – “With love for Ukraine...”
• Akymenko Daria, 19 y.o, Ukraine – “Bright future”
• Anchidin Ioana Madalina, 28 y.o, Romania – “Brave Ukraine”
• Lebedenko Tetiana, 15 y.o, Ukraine – “Birds of will and freedom”
During August 31st and September 4, the public can vote their favourite artwork on the Facebook page ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020, following the next requirements:
• Like ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Facebook page
• Like their favourite arwork
• Comment with “<3” and tag a friend to their favourite artwork.
One artwork may receive only one vote from the same person, but one user may vote several works.
The finalists will be awarded 5 x smartwatches and one electric scooter will be awarded to the winner of the competition.
