The calls for proposals launched within Romania-Ukraine Joint Operational Programme 2014-2020, having as deadline May 2018, totalised 196 projects submitted by potential beneficiaries from the eligible border areas from both partner states.
Potential beneficiaries from eligible border areas in Romania and Ukraine have submitted 196 applications within the two calls for proposals of Romania-Ukraine Joint Operational Programme 2014-2020. Out of these, 35 projects have been submitted within the Hard call for proposals (projects having an infrastructure component of at least 1 million euro), amounting a total requested grant of more than 49 million euro, exceeding with more than 150% the allocated amount. The most addressed priority is 4.1., Support to the development of health services and access to health.
The interest of applicants for the SOFT call for proposals (projects which do not include an infrastructure component or the infrastructure component is of less than 1 million euro) is also extremely high, as 161 projects have been submitted, with the total requested grant of more than 57 million euro, exceeding with more than 230% the allocated amount. Most of these projects addressed priority 2.1., Preservation and promotion of the cultural and historical heritage.
All applications have been submitted by means of the electronic system dedicated to the operational programme.
The financial allocation for this programme by the European Union is of 60 million euro.
The projects submitted are now under administrative and eligibility check. Only projects meeting the administrative and eligibility requirements will undergo the technical and financial evaluation.
