The Monitoring Committee of Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme decided to postpone the awarding of financial support for small-scale projects in the field of tourism and culture, because of the current situation in Ukraine. The funds allocated in the programme to finance this type of interventions will be the object of a new call for proposals, which will be launched at a later date.
The Managing Authority for Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme is launching the 1st call for proposals for regular projects. The call will address Priority 2 - Social development across borders, specific objectives dedicated to education and health. The European funds available for this call for proposals amount 12.6 million Euro.

On February 14, 2023, Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme was officially launched in Bucharest. The event aimed at informing the stakeholders about the new funds available for the development of the border communities of the two participating countries.
On Tuesday, February 14th, 2023, the official launching of Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme will take place in Bucharest, starting at 10:00 hrs a.m. Members of the Monitoring Committee from Romania and Ukraine and other stakeholders who can contribute to programme implementation will attend the event. Representatives of the European Commission will also be present.
The European Commission approved the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme on November 30, 2022.
